Favorite personal exercise/movement practice
Side lying foot in strap, obliques on the short box, any deadlift…I like most movement except jumping rope. I have kids if you know what I mean.

When I'm not teaching you can usually find me...
Either Ubering my kids, hanging with my Golden Retriever Higgins, exercising, sleeping or pretend planning my next vacation. If I’m lucky, I can squeeze in a date night or lunch with friends.

What draws you to Pilates?
I love that Pilates is a fit for every BODY. Whether you are working with a long term injury or training for an athletic event, it is a great fit. There are so many modifications and ways to customize the concept to meet the needs of each client individually. Pilates makes you feel lengthened, lean and best of all, your strongest self. Its principles can help support you in any other physical activity as well as activities of daily living.

What does a typical day look like for you?
Wake up with the sun and usually do a quick meditation or short jog. I feed my animals and have coffee and breakfast. I'm in school so around 8 or 9 am, then head to class. Always a “power nap” in the middle of my day. Always. Lots of dog walks. Lots of time in City Park. Dinner and early bedtime.

Describe your teaching style in 3 words.
Functional, classical, aware

What draws you to Pilates?
It’s something I can do for the rest of my life. It helps me to move with more control and stability in all other aspects of my life.

Candice Holley

What draws you to Pilates?
As a professionally trained ballet dancer and classical pianist, I’m drawn to the elegance, discipline and artistry of controlled movement. Pilates offers the same refined precision and internal awareness I value in both music and ballet—balancing structure with flow, intelligence with grace—while simultaneously building strength, focus, and presence. These qualities have been lifelong companions in my own practice, and I love helping others discover that same connection.

Happy Hour order:
Champagne, Prosecco or wine—something classic, light and celebratory.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me…
At the piano bench, at the ballet barre, researching music history, or dreaming of my next trip to Italy.

The Melt Method has been a game changer in my fitness, allowing me to lift heavier, work harder whether in Pilates or on the tennis court. It also allows me to do all of this with less pain and quicker recovery time.
